Navneet Kaur

Dr Navneet Kaur holds a Ph.D. from the National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) in India, where she conducted research on characterizing genes involved in provitamin A biosynthesis in banana. During her Ph.D., she also participated in the Cornell Alliance for Science Global Leadership Fellow programme at Cornell University as a Cornell-Sathguru Foundation Fellow. After completing her doctorate, Dr. Kaur joined Rothamsted Research in the UK as a post-doctoral researcher, focusing on characterizing and improving agronomically important traits in wheat and acquiring extensive experience in wheat transformation and genome editing. Currently, she is lead scientist for Rothamsted’s low asparagine wheat field trial, as well as investigating the signalling proteins/transcription factors responsible for the accumulation of free asparagine in wheat grain under biotic stress.
