Georges Sinnaeve


Presently, Georges SINNAEVE is the head of « Centre wallon de Recherches agronomiques » CRA-W located in Gembloux (Belgium). As a researcher, he worked under the direction of Robert BISTON who first introduced Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy in Belgium in 1979. He also worked under the supervision of Pierre DARDENNE, well known in the field of Infrared and chemometrics. Beside the application of Near- and mid-infrared techniques to cereals and cereal products, his research work was focussed on the composition and ability of cereals for breadmaking. He worked a lot on sprout damaged using Hagberg, RVA and enzymatic activities measurements. Together with Marc AELVOET and Luc Willems, Georges contributes to the development of the first prototypes of the Mixolab, which is worldwide distributed by KPM-Analytics – Chopin.
