Charles Brennan


Charles Brennan is an established senior academic with over 30 years experience across UK, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, and Europe, including 18 years of managerial leadership. Charles supervised over 45 PhD students to completion (26 as main supervisor) and obtained in excess of £ 8 million of research awards.

He is accomplished in transformational leadership, financial administration, change management, academic governance, co-ordination of academic faculties and departments, restructuring and development of teaching and research platforms, establishment of international teaching and research partnerships and off-shore campuses, staff and student mentoring, conflict resolution, and pan-national research projects.

Charles is Editor in Chief of three internationally peer-reviewed SCI journals (mainly the International Journal of Food Science and technology).

Charles personal research focused on the impact of food biochemistry in relation to human nutrition, the manipulation of chronic diseases, and benefits to society.
